Responses to "Why I Left The Baptist Church"
Dear Brother Rouse:
A few weeks ago, I saw the
article/sermon, I forget which, on this topic: "Why I left the Baptist
church."
I am interested in seeing
that topic again. I have a family member who is trying to work with/teach a
member of the Baptist church about the truth of the gospel. I believe that
article or topic which I read and had planned to copy, but did not, is worth
sharing with my family member.
I enjoy your web page and
the information you circulate on a regular basis.
I do not know how I ended
up receiving this information, but I am glad I do.

Response to "The Fruits of Repentance"
Brother Larry,
Just came across your website while surfing through the
net. Great work! You offer an abundance of helpful information provided for
spiritual growth and development!
Due to so many in our area coming from institutional churches and trying to
convert us we have decided it necessary to offer a class study and try to
ground the faithful few here Sunday mornings studying the same subject that
you are currently.
I would like to have a copy of the power point chart
for the sermon "The Fruits of Repentance" when you have it available. It is
of particular interest to me since we have one brother who has come forward
repenting a few times but never seems to show any evidence concerning fruits
of repentance.??? Myself and a few others have discussed it with him on
several occasions. About three weeks ago he was sitting in class Sunday
morning and without mentioning my name, even quoted remarks and Scripture
references that I privately discussed with him. Namely, the difference
between "Talking the talk" and "Walking the walk"! Not to simply provide
"lip service" but show evidence of it by performing! (Jas 1:22-25 ; 4:17)
etc etc..
Keep giving them heaven where you are!

Eroding the Foundation - Subjectivism
I would just like to tell you how much I have been enjoying your
articles. Very thought provoking, and are helping me to give names to things
and to call them what they are (i.e. "subjectivism"). I appreciate the
clarity, and your dedication to truth.

Response to "Who Are You To Judge Me?"
Mark,
I have heard and taught many lessons on "Judging," and
I was impressed with your treatment of the subject. With your permission, I
would like to print and distribute copies, either as a short stand-alone
article or thru the local Clute bulletin, "On The Upward Way." We continue
to appreciate your work.

Response to "The Curse of Social Drinking"
Larry,
The outline on the curse
of social drinking is a particularly good one.
Thanks for putting it out
there. I'll refer others to it.
This is a big, big issue
amongst college students who are Christians.
It's certainly the case
here in Lexington, KY and I suspect it is the case in Charlottesville as
well.
Thanks again.

Response to "What's Down that Road?"
Dear Brother Rouse.
I would like to thank you for being a Biblically sound congregation of
the Lord's church. I have never been so grateful for sound brethren as I am
now. For the past year I have been caught up in "Rick Atchleyism" via the
Richland Hills Church of Christ website.
God has, however, through His divine providence in answering prayer,
exposed this false teacher's motives to me. We must be on the lookout for
men such as this in our fellowship who are seeking to do much damage to the
Lord's church and lead us all down a path away from what God has authorized.
I would encourage sound brethren to keep an eye on the Richland Hills
congregation and their motives to spread error throughout our brotherhood.
Their website is
www.rhchurch.org. Notice that they have just announced that they are
going to begin using instrumental music in a third worship service on
Saturday on which they also plan to take the Lord's Supper. Click on the
heading "The Both/And Church" on their home page and you will see what I am
talking about.
We must stand strong against these wolves in sheep's clothing who are
seeking to devour us with their smooth talk (Romans 16 :17-18).
In Christ Scott
