	A Spiritually Safe Home By Greg Gwin I can't do everything, but I can make my home spiritually safe and I will! It is a simple fact that I can't do everything, but there are some things that I definitely can do and, with God's help, I will. For instance, I can make certain that spiritual dangers are removed from my home. The world is full of all sorts of temptations – and many of these are finding their way into our homes. In fact, the Devil has a whole array of new and very powerful enticements. For instance, television and radio are relatively new inventions, and Satan has seized upon them as a means of promoting evil. The movie industry continues to crank out films full of moral filth that corrupt people's minds – which is exactly what Satan desires. The Internet is a brand new weapon in his arsenal, and he has succeeded in making it a super effective way to tempt both young and old. What can I do in the fact of all these dangers? There is little hope of changing the trends in the modern media. Things are bad and they are likely to get worse, not better. But, I can control these things in my own home . § I can carefully monitor what I allow myself and my family to view on TV. § I can be more cautious about the music that is played. § I can make hard and fast rules about the types of movies that will be watched. § I can keep a strict and constant check on how the Internet is being used. God's Word charges me with providing for the well being of my family (1 Tim. 5:8). If I don't protect them from spiritual dangers, I have failed them. This is important, and I must work at it.
